Things get a little Freaky Friday-esque in our latest concept film, “A Wish.” 12-year-old Ariela has a lot to deal with. Not only is her little brother a prankster  who loves to wreak havoc, but her parents simply don’t understand what it’s like to be her. But Ariela is not the only one who is frustrated. Her Mom is nearly fed up with the constant kid wrangling she has to do, and Dad just wants some peace and quiet already. On a family outing, the four of them have finally had enough of each other, and they make a wish that changes everything.

When Ariela wakes the next morning, she doesn’t feel quite like herself. The house soon erupts in a bevy of screams as all the family members realize they have swapped bodies with one another.
Their wish has come true! Now they will all understand what it’s like to be in each other’s shoes. Family and friends are baffled by their bizarre behavior. The adults act like children and get grossed out by their friends’ affectionate behavior. In their children’s bodies, Mom and Dad take charge and scold their former selves, who now enjoy pillow fights and playing in the park.

Will this ever end? Watch and see…

“A Wish” was made as a fun family film for all of Ariela’s friends to enjoy watching at her Bat Mitzvah. From the outtakes alone, it’s clear the Kupershmidt family really enjoyed making their very
own personalized movie.

As the sunrise gives birth to a glorious day and subtle winds flitter through palm trees, William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 begins, “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” A lovely couple embraces on a rocky outcrop. It is clear this is no ordinary tale; it is Ruslana and Ralph’s love story.

There is no one else around; they are alone. Together, they begin to explore their island. As they walk along the beach, sea birds soar overhead and cry out in a way that seems to celebrate the lovers below. They are lost in their love for one another until sunset descends, ending another serene day on the island. While the last rays of daylight shimmer through palm trees, the couple walks together, hand in hand, towards the dying embers of twilight.

While filming Ruslana and Ralph in Aruba, we had the pleasure to work with a fellow director of photography, Alexander Chernov. Our team wanted the film to capture the essence of this couple’s powerful love. As they share tender kisses and adoring gazes, it’s clear how devoted they are to each other.

Using natural light, we were able to accentuate the beauty of this couple against the breathtaking backdrop of blue skies and rolling surf. We wanted to make it look as if Ruslana and Ralph were alone on their very own private island. Watching them onscreen frolicking together on the sandy beaches of Aruba, it does indeed seem as if they were the only people left in the world.

Filming a romantic love story with Igor and Anna made us smile. Their simplicity was both enchanting and alluring at the same time. Their story conveyed a natural feel to it, thanks to the fact that they are real as a couple. No fake presentations or pretended endearment—their sweet love for each other is genuinely shown in every word and action.

The clip starts with Anna awaking to discover a folder slipped underneath her bedroom door from her beloved. She settles down against the pillows on her bed, and opening the folder, finds some pictures and an iPod with a mysterious sticky note that reads “Play me”. As she plays the recorded song, she flips through the pictures fondly. A shy smile spreads across her lips, as memories of their first meeting flash across her mind.

It all started at Baruch College with a cute teddy bear and an invitation to the beach on Coney Island. This invitation led to one date after another, eventually creating an endless number of magical visits to places like Central Park and many other lovely spots across NYC. Simple memories perhaps, yet sweet and fanciful to Anna’s heart.  

That’s why Igor wanted to make these memories come alive again by capturing them in pictures for her. Ever the romantic, Igor wanted to make this particular day one she would never forget. For opening the door after finishing flipping through the pictures, Anna came face to face with Igor, his sweet smile, and one lovely ring.

The Visualaz crew worked hard to film Igor and Ann’s love story in all of the favorite spots where they spent hours together as a couple. We wanted to include all the places that had been meaningful to them, thus producing a fun loving clip that romantics of all ages can enjoy.

The concept film, “The Proposal”, features Daniel Itingen and Luiza Grimberg, a dynamic couple with an appreciation for humor. Their zest for life shows clearly throughout the film, as their love story unfolds in a way that is both creative and captivating.  In this entertaining film, Daniel must undergo a series of wild complications before proposing to his beloved successfully.

“The Proposal” starts off with Daniel running late to his date. In his effort to find the perfect bouquet of flowers, Daniel runs into a unique sense of inconveniences, such as a florist who talks faster than he works, and a policeman who seems more intent on fulfilling his arrest quota of the day than in serving justice.  When Daniel finally manages to rid himself of both set of problems, however, he races to his dinner date, only to discover that his girl had grown tired of waiting and left.

At this point, Daniel tries several different approaches toward proposing to Luiza. Unfortunately for both of them,  luck seems set against them even in the most ridiculous ways,  as literally every little detail planned ahead by Daniel always goes wrong at the last minute. But although the odds first seem against him, Daniel’s attitude soon makes it clear that he will harness every power under the sun before losing the woman that he loves. And boy, does he do just that.

With the help of Je T’Aime Design Studio in the creation of the multiple bouquets presented in the film, our crew at Visualaz worked hard filming the various locations in NYC to ensure a quality story that people of all ages can enjoy. A funny love story with a twinge of spice and tenderness, “The Proposal” is sure to captivate your heart.

Roman and Anna wanted to have something special done for their wedding. Something unique that could exemplify their unique story, and capture their affection in a timeless and romantic way. As future husband and wife, it was only natural for them to want the most special day of their life to be simply dazzling.

We understood their need to capture their devotion to each other, and it didn’t take them long to realize that making a film of their unique story was exactly what they wanted. With this in mind, Roman and Anna wisely settled on both the Jericho Terrace and the Old Westbury Gardens for their cinematic shots, eager to select the lovely scenery that would merge perfectly with their romantic theme.

To ensure smooth and artistic shots, our crew used natural light and steadicam, a vital instrument in professional cinematography services. Creative angles on the grand staircase and lawn were explored and used to their full advantage.The finished product of Roman and Anna’s wedding trailer was breathtaking. The gentleness exhibited in their relationship during the days of production was inspiring to those around them. Each one of their movements evidenced their devotion to one another. Even their shy smiles brought a soft glow to the shooting.

This trailer shows the dedication our crew exemplified toward creating those memorable shots that Roman and Anna will now be able to cherish in the years to come.

Visualaz recently had the honor of flying out to Punta Cana Dominican Republic in order to capture Milan and Sabrina’s elegant destination wedding. As most of you probably already know, a destination wedding is a wedding held in a setting away from one’s hometown and most of the time, the wedding and the honeymoon are celebrated in the same venue or location. The concept of the destination wedding has become a very popular trend in recent years; with couples escaping their busy cities and hometowns for a slice of peace and tranquility.

Well known for it’s breathtaking beaches and beautiful balnearios, Punta Cana is a Caribbean paradise with a picture perfect setting for a wedding. Milan and Sabrina were the bride and groom that Visualaz had the pleasure of filming down in DR. Where do we start with Milan and Sabrina? First off, they were an extremely fun-loving couple who were absolutely head-over-heels for each other! Their wedding was amazing to say the least and we were extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to bring our equipment and team to Punta Cana in order to capture this loving couple’s monumental moment. Their trailer is a montage of moments the couple shared together while in Punta Cana edited with audio of the couples deeply moving vows.

Our experience in Punta Cana was one that we will never forget. The stunning surroundings, beautiful weather, and gorgeous wedding were truly an astonishing and enlightening experience for the whole crew. A big thanks to Milan and Sabrina for allowing us to partake in their wonderful wedding, we wish you guys all the best!
