We are currently in the process of expanding, and as many of you may know, I am currently in California spreading the word about Visualaz. While it is chilly and snowing in New York, Los Angles is sunny and warm. The good weather makes it an ideal location to shoot not only blockbuster love stories, but cinematic weddings all year long. Having already filmed a couple of different occasions in California, it is always quite interesting to get the west coast perspective on cinematography.

Having a very deep passion for visual effects work, I spend every minute of my time learning as much as I can, and try to improve my skills. What is a better place to learn about cinematography and effects work than Hollywood? While being in LA, I expand my knowledge in visual effects field by interning at Side Effects Software, the developers of visual effects software called Houdini. Houdini is a full featured 3d animation and visual effects software that has been used in all major Hollywood blockbusters, such as 2012, Terminator Salvation, Watchmen, and many others. As part of my work at Side Effects, I get an opportunity to take classes and get professional advice from top visual effects people in the industry. This should play an imperative part in expanding my technical knowledge, and developing my artistic eye.
